It's a community for a high school students and adult mentors to get to know each other, fellowship, talk and have fun. At the core of Young Life, a non-denominational, Christian organization, is a mission to introduce students to Jesus Christ and help them grow in their faith. Started in Texas in 1941, Young Life now has local branches that serve students from area high schools throughout America. Young Life Northwest DuPage, which bears a Glen Ellyn mailing address, serves students from Glenbard South and Glenbard West high schools. Students meet once a week during the school year, and in the summer it's off to camp. A program for junior high students called Wyldlife offers fellowship and camping to students grades 6-8. In Glen Ellyn, Wyldlife draws kids from Glen Crest Middle and Hadley Junior High schools. Young Life Northwest DuPage once had offices at 488 N. Main Street and still maintains the following Glen Ellyn mailing address: Young Life Northwest DuPage, P.O. Box 67, Glen Ellyn, IL 60138-0067.
