History
Wheels O' Time was founded in 1977. The first building was built and opened to the public in 1983. Since then it has continued to grow with 4 buildings added including the visitor count and also the number of volunteers reaching about 80 dedicated workers. Please note: the museum is open 6 months each year, from May 1 through October 31. We are also open on Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day.
Specialties
We are a museum exhibiting antique and collector cars along with fire trucks, farm and Caterpillar equipment, bicycles, clocks, tools, toys and much more. A Ford V-8 exhibit changes monthly. We also have a steam locomotive and several railroad cars. Many of our exhibits represent central Illinois industry, farming and entertainment. People of all ages enjoy their museum experience. Four large buildings house the collections and are located just north of Peoria, IL on State Rte 40.
