Decatur Park District oversees the functioning of more than 100 parks, trailways, gardens and golf clubs, spread on over 2,000 acres of land. Located in Decatur, Ill., the park district has been operational for more than 50 years. It also oversees the operations of cultural arts centers, indoor sports stadiums, American Zoo and Aquarium Association-approved zoos, and a soccer complex. The district organizes park watch program in cooperation with citizens, businesses, schools and churches. The Decatur Park District s Storyteller Theatre is a full-scale theatrical production, featuring a cast of more than 50 children in first through eighth grades. Additionally, it provides catering services for golf outings, wedding receptions, bridal and baby showers, corporate seminars, expositions, birthday parties, college reunions, and anniversaries. The district s corporate partners include Archer Daniels Midland Company, Tate & Lyle and Team Soy.
