Elite Sports Complex, located in Downers Grove, Ill., was built in 1995 as a training site for the 1996 U.S. Olympic Rhythmic Group. It is the home of the Elite Rhythmics competitive rhythmic gymnastics team, which is one of the largest rhythmic teams in the United States. The complex has a pro shop that sells a variety of items, such as leotards, hoodies, sweatshirts, sweatpants, T-shirts, footwear, grips, shorts and other gymnastics-related products. It hosts various celebration parties in its more than 5,000-square-foot gymnasium that includes an above-ground marshmallow pit, brightly colored foam shapes, tunnels and trampolines. Elite Sports Complex also organizes field trips, birthday parties, and Girl Scouts and rhythmic gymnastics badge programs.
