Food Lab Chicago
FoodLab Chicago is a program under the Greater Chatham Initiative that aims to nurture the development of a thriving and sustainable food ecosystem in the South Side neighborhoods of Chicago. Inspired by the success of FoodLab Detroit, FoodLab Chicago provides education, technical support, and financial resources to Black-owned restaurants, helping them navigate the challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic and build a more equitable and sustainable food system. Through their Rapid Response, Recovery, and Resiliency COVID-19 program, FoodLab Chicago offers hands-on consulting, industry insider information, and innovative business models that prioritize healthy food, quality jobs, and community building. With a focus on financial operations, menu engineering, and peer roundtables, FoodLab Chicago aims to create a supportive learning environment where participating restaurants can overcome challenges and contribute to a stronger entrepreneurial ecosystem on Chicago's Southside.Generated from the website
