The Skokie School was established in 1921 and is located in Winnetka, Ill. It provides academic classes to more than 450 students in grades five to six. The school offers exploratory classes in band, orchestra, art, life skills, vocal music, service projects, foreign language and creative dramatics. It offers academic education in a wide range of subjects, including English, social studies, math, science, creative writing, language arts, and health and physical education. The school has a resource center that offers a collection of books, online catalog, databases and audiovisual materials. The Skokie School is a part of the Winnetka Public Schools that comprises elementary, middle and high schools.
