History
CLA was formed in 2005 through the merger of the Greater State Street Council and the Central Michigan Avenue Association. Bordered by Dearborn on the west, Lake Michigan on the east, and Wacker drive on the north, CLA's 40-block service area extends south to Congress along Wabash, State and Dearborn, and to Roosevelt along Michigan Avenue.
Specialties
The mission of the CLA is to strengthen the Loop's competitive position as a mixed-use destination and contribute to Chicago's standing as a world-class city and tourist attraction. The CLA supports and advances the interests of its members through advocacy, networking, partnerships and promotions.
