On September 25, 1977, more than 4,000 runners started a legacy as they committed to running the inaugural Major Daley Marathon. Now in its 41st year the Bank of America Chicago Marathon is still a city wide celebration of running in Chicago.

The Bank of America Chicago Marathon is a 26.2 mile journey through 29 of Chicago's vibrant and diverse neighborhoods. Every year over 40,000 runners are cheered on by 1.7 million spectators as they run though the streets of the Windy City.
