At 42 acres, there's not much that Spring Rock doesn't have. Five baseball diamonds, two with complete fences, scorecards, benches, stands and practice mounds dominate the center of the park; to the south and northwest, large meadows provide fields for football, soccer and lacrosse. Other amenities include seven tennis courts, two sand volleyball courts, two basketball courts, two horseshoe pits and even an inline hockey rink. Night lighting is provided for the two central baseball fields, the southwest football field and the tennis courts. The northeast side of the park is wooded, with dozens of picnic areas and grills (fires are allowed in the grills, prohibited elsewhere) and a few playgrounds. Multiple shelters/pavilions are provided, as well as storage areas for sports equipment. During major sports activities, food is available. All these lie in the shadow of Western Springs' skyscraping water tower in a park that remains an absolute staple of the community.
