Created in 2007 by the Daily Southtown and Star Newspapers merger, the Southtown Star is a Sun-Times Media newspaper that's published six days a week and covers more than 30 cities and villages in the Chicago Southland. The Daily Southtown launched in 1906, while Star Newspapers began in 1901.
The paper comes is delivered and on newsstands Sunday through Friday. It has been published in tabloid format since August 2009.
