The Southern Thirty Adolescent Center, also known as STAC, is a more than 15-bed emergency shelter care facility that serves individuals between the ages of 11 and 18. The 30-day facility offers clinical assessment and individual and group counseling solutions. It serves the nutritional, medical and recreational needs of male youths 24 hours a day. The Southern Thirty Adolescent Center also offers opportunities to participate in day programs for female residents. The facility provides crisis intervention, stabilization and transition services, as well as on-site educational options. In addition, it accepts on-call referrals seven days a week. The Southern Thirty Adolescent Center is managed by the Lutheran Child and Family Services of Illinois.
