HistoryStar-Crossed Stitches was established in January 2014 after several years of hands on experience learning from my aunt who is an avid seamstress , quilter ,and embroiderer. She was my first inspiration in my early teens when I witnessed her hand quilting a quilt for her sister that she had pieced and sewn. I went right home and proceeded to cut fabric (with scissors mind you!) and make a quilt. I did not even know that you were supposed to make blocks first! Fast forward 30 years after raising 2 sons , and I reacquainted myself with her after my mother told me that she did machine embroidery and was still quilting up a storm!! Now 8 years later I am in business for myself , creating and finishing quilts and embroidering for clients of all ages and backgrounds!
