History
Serionix was founded in 2011 by Professor James Economy, James Langer and Weihua Zheng from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Through years of extensive research and development, our team has developed a filtration technology that has received awards from the Army, the National Science Foundation, and NASA (it may even be used in space suits!) in excess of $2,400,000. Through careful refinement we've made the technology economical enough that we can make it available to residential consumers too. Our filters remove a large range of toxic chemicals from the air. They are effective at eliminating cat smells, and also work very well at reducing dog smells, cooking odors, carpet smells, etc. On top of cleaning the air, the filter also changes color when it expires so you can be sure you're being protected from the chemicals you can't smell.
Specialties
Serionix filters are made to fit in your air purifier or furnace unit; they are installed exactly like other filters, but have many added benefits. From contaminant removal to odor removal (especially pets!), a Serionix filter ensures the freshest air possible in your home. Our filters use industry-standard material as a base so that dust, pet dander, and other large particles are still removed from your air. Serionix filters also change color to remind you when to replace.
