Founded in 1966 and Located in Schaumburg, Ill., the fire department works to provide fire investigation and inspection, code enforcement, public education, and emergency medical and rescue services. It provides tips on a variety of topics, including candle fire and water flood safety, pet care, emergency management and homeland security. It is administered by fire chief who is responsible for the supervision and coordination of department s activities. The fire department employs battalion chiefs, six captains and other support staff members. It provides information on ice storms, tornadoes, frostbite and carbon monoxide poisoning. The department conducts training sessions in emergency first-aid measures, handling and rescue. The fire department is a part of the Village of Schaumburg.
