History
Originally staffed by the Sisters of Christian Charity of the western province (Mallinckrodt Center in Wilmette, IL) Saint Alphonsus School was eventually served by dedicated lay teachers and members of the School Sisters of Notre Dame. The laywomen and men who serve our school today are committed to the same tradition of excellence in Catholic education that has always characterized our proud history. In 2004, the United States Education Department recognized Saint Alphonsus Liguori School as a No Child Left Behind National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence. Our mission is to guide each child's growth in faith, knowledge, spirit, and responsibility, building achievements today that lead to happy, successful futures. Today, Saint Alphonsus School utilizes state of the art technology to support a comprehensive curriculum that includes religious education, language arts and literature, mathematics, science, social studies, art, music, computer technology, physical education and spanish.
