Formerly called Dyche Stadium, Ryan Field is home to Northwestern University's Wildcats football team. Originally built in 1926, the majestic, huge stadium dominates this part of northern Evanston. The field has seen many changes throughout the years and has had additional seating and other areas added over time. For a brief period in the early 1970s, the Chicago Bears considered moving their games here.
With a seating capacity of over 47,000, Ryan Field has entertained millions of Chicagoland residents over its lifetime.
