Established in 1926, Plainfield Public Library District serves a population of nearly 66,000 in the Village of Plainfield and surrounding areas. Based in Plainfield, Ill., the library offers a collection of books, including large print ones, newspapers, magazines as well as a collection of audiovisuals, such as CDs, DVDs, audio books and e-books. It offers a series of classes focusing on basic computer skills, use of e-mail and Internet. Plainfield Public Library District offers computer equipment, including copy machine, microfilm readers and fax machines. Additionally, the library has three rooms available for public use.
