Plainfield School District Foundation for Excellence is a nonprofit organization specializing in providing various programs and services to make significant contribution in the field of education. For more than 25 years, the foundation has been assisting educators as well as students in District 202 schools. Its grant program has awarded over 300 mini grants to District 202 educators at all grade levels in several areas of learning including literacy, mathematics, science, history, art and drama, to name a few. Plainfield School District Foundation also provides Community Service Scholarships to graduating seniors from Plainfield High School Central Campus, Plainfield South High School, and Plainfield Academy. Additionally, it presents the Mayor Richard Rock Scholarship in collaboration with the Rock family.
