North DuPage Special Education Cooperative, based in Roselle, Ill., is recognized by the Illinois State Board of Education as a legal entity responsible for operating special education programs within its member districts. The organization is responsible for assisting the districts to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations in programming for students with disabilities, providing technical assistance to member districts and serving as an extension of each district by providing program options to students with severe or multiple disabilities. North DuPage Special Education Cooperative is a cooperative agreement of eight public school districts, six elementary and two high school districts within DuPage County in Illinois that serve a total student population of more than 11,000 students. It provides a complete range of services to students with special needs between the ages of three and 21 years.
