History
NAWS started as a rescue and low cost spay/neuter facility in 2007. We quickly saw the need for affordable veterinary services in the community, so launched our general practice veterinary clinic in 2008. In 2012, we moved to a larger facility in order to help more pets in need.
Specialties
We are a non-profit 501c3 animal welfare organization. Our mission is to end pet homelessness, suffering, and unnecessary pet euthanasia - to serve pets in need - and to promote treating all animals with respect and dignity. The heart and soul of NAWS is our pet rescue program. To help support the cost of the pet rescue program, we operate a general practice veterinary clinic, provide low-cost spay/neuter services, provide boarding, daycare and grooming services, as well as run a resale area at our facility. 100% of all the proceeds received is used to support the care and medical needs of the pets in our rescue program.
