History
Library service in the Village of Morton began in 1922 when the Semper Fidelis club of Morton Community United Church of Christ organized donations and volunteers for a library. In 1925, the library became tax supported and the first library board was elected. The current library building was opened in 1982. In 1998, a 9,700 sq. ft. addition was completed. In 2015 Hannah's Reading Garden was installed at the back of the Library, providing a beautiful space for outdoor programs and a place for the community to connect with benches and tables.
