HistoryI started out before there was any official massage therapy in Illinois. In addition to training in massage therapy, I have gotten training in acupuncture and naprapathy. I am continually training and upgrading my skills. As I have gotten older myself, I have had increased interest in helping the wellbeing of senior citizens especially as they go through times of stress, illness, surgery, and loss.SpecialtiesI specialize in four areas: 1. Acupressure: Trained as both a massage therapist and an acupuncturist, I do various types of acupressure including jin shin jitsu. The power of chi (qi) is unleased to treat various conditions and promote relaxation. 2. Deep Tissue: I can focus on specific musculoskeletal conditions/aches & pains and treat origins and insertions of various muscles to promote better performance in daily life. 3. Medical Massage: i can work with patients suffering from medical conditions including cancer, arthritis, and joint replacements. 4. Relaxation Massage: I can use aromatherapy, music, long gentle strokes, and heated oils to promote relaxation and relieve insomnia.
