Memorial Park offers plenty of sports and recreational activities, from baseball to sand volleyball to swimming. The park features a children's swimming pool with spraying frogs, a tire swing and a tube slide. A locker room is available for swimmers (bring your own lock) and there is a concession stand in the summer. A path winds around the park for joggers, walkers and cyclists, with plenty of shade trees. There is a fishing pond with a pier for fishing enthusiasts, and kids love the large playground. The park also hosts Oak Lawn's annual Memorial and Independence Day celebrations. Memorial Park pool memberships are available to residents and non-residents.
