Founded in 1959, Little City specializes in care for children and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities. The Palatine campus contains an educational development center; a recreation center with a swimming pool, indoor gym, playrooms, baseball field and walking trail; an arts center; and a greenhouse. The foundation offers services such as employment assistance, adoption and foster care programs, and apartment and community living opportunities for children and adults. Although more than 50 youth and 60 adults live on the Palatine campus, there are no residency restrictions for Little City's programs; the friendly staff welcomes all those with disabilities who would like to participate.
