The neon-pink lettering of B & D Liquors--like the signs of all the stores at Rodeo Dr. of Glen Ellyn Plaza on Roosevelt Rd.--is eye-catching enough, but what really lures people inside the store, according to manager Pedro Cruz, is its prices and customer service. "We take care of 'em," says Cruz, "and they keep coming back." Though it also carries a selection of wine and wine coolers, B & D specializes in beer and hard liquor, including cognac, bourbon and vodka. If there's a certain brand a customer is searching for and the store doesn't have it in stock, Cruz says it will custom-order the bottle and have it in within a couple of days. The store also has weekly specials and occasional tastings.
