In 1961, Ralph A. Casciaro, M.D. opened Suburban Ear, Nose & Throat Associates, Ltd. in Arlington Heights, Illinois. For more than 50 years, we have been dedicated to providing the highest quality healthcare in the specialty of Otolaryngology--Head and Neck Surgery. All of our physician surgeons are Board Certified in Otolaryngology--Head and Neck Surgery. Our goal is to provide the highest quality, state-of-the-art care with empathy and compassion. We try to treat patients how we would want to be treated. We stress attentive patient care with open communication and accessibility. We recently were listed in US News and World Report's rankings of best Hospitals for Ear, Nose and Throat. We are honored to provide specialized care in Otolaryngology at Northwest Community Hospital, ranked 40th in the nation, and 3rd in Illinois for Ear, Nose and Throat in 2013.

Otolaryngology is the oldest medical specialty in the United States. Otolaryngologists are physicians trained in the medical and surgical management of diseases of the ear, nose, and throat (ENT), and related structures of the head and neck. Otolaryngologists are commonly referred to as ENT physicians. Their skills include the diagnosis and management of diseases of the sinuses, larynx (voice box), oral cavity, and upper pharynx (mouth and throat), as well as structures in the neck and face. Otolaryngologists manage diseases in both adults and children.
