HistoryArchi-treasures was largely formed by architects and members of community development organizations around Chicago who recognized the urgent need for Chicago communities to organize, build capacity ,and participate in the redevelopment of their neighborhoods.SpecialtiesArchi-treasures is a non-profit, arts-based community development organization that works in underserved neighborhoods by involving people in projects that transform public space and increase civic engagement. Creative professionals and community members partner to improve neighborhoods throughout Chicago. archi-treasures' results are tangible - community parks, murals, and outdoor movie screenings - and intangible - people who feel proud of what they've made and where they live. We value our relationships with community leaders and organizations, volunteers, corporate partners and residents, for it is through our work together that we truly make a difference.
