History
During our many trips and studies throughout Asia to immerse ourselves in the techniques and culinary history of different regions, we fell in love with the multicultural food of Macau, a small enclave off the South China Sea. We remain fascinated by Macau's cuisine with its unexpected flavor combinations and techniques that reflect a deep and complex history melding Chinese, Portuguese, Indian, Malay and African influences. We owe a huge debt of gratitude to our wonderful friends who taught us and supported our mission to present a creative interpretation of Macanese homestyle cooking at Fat Rice over the years. NoodleBird, at Fat Rice is our take on the casual diner and street food of Macau as well as other Asian regions we have come to love. We are excited for you to join us on a culinary adventure exploring a world of food, flavor and fun.
