As part of an ongoing strategic effort to boost economic development in Kankakee County, Kankakee County Board and the Economic Development Association formed a public-private partnership in July 2007, creating the Economic Alliance of Kankakee County, Inc This 14-member board is comprised of seven members of Kankakee County Board and seven members of the private sector. The move brings a unified voice to local economic development.
