Established in 1898, DePaul University provides a variety of educational programs for students. It is one of the largest Catholic-based universities in the United States. The university has annual enrollment of more than 23,000 students in the colleges of commerce, computer science, education, law, liberal arts and sciences, new learning, music and theater. It offers academic programs related to accounting, business administration, real estate, computer applications, art, biology and chemistry. The university additionally provides classes on communications, economics, history, philosophy, psychology, music and acting. It offers opportunities for students to participate in a range of sports activities, including basketball, cross-country, soccer, tennis, and track and field.
