Using minimally invasive arthroscopy to treat many problems without major surgery, he believes surgery is a last resort. He brings a full range of resources to each patient’s care when appropriate, including therapists, pain management specialists and others. Dr. Chen is currently involved in research exploring the use of 3D models to improve surgical planning for old fractures that have not healed in the correct position. When not with patients, Dr. Chen stays active and likes to swim, hike, play tennis and compete in ultimate frisbee.
