History
Cutting Hall is a unique facility owned and operated by the Palatine Park District. The theatre has been an integral part of the arts environment in Palatine since it was built in 1928 as part of the original Palatine High School. The auditorium is named after the first principal, Mr. Charles S. Cutting. During the course of the year, Cutting Hall is utilized by various theatre companies from around the area, as well as for film screenings. The Park District also utilizes the space for programs for children, the Palatine Concert Band, and many other Park District programs, including theatre, dance, and the Palatine Children's Chorus.

The Cutting Hall Performing Arts Center specializes in events and performances for the community by the community.
