History

The Fine Arts Building was built in 1885. On the tenth floor, Curtiss Hall faces East over Michigan Avenue to overlook Buckingham Fountain and Lake Michigan. Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestras, established in 1946, currently operates Curtiss Hall.
