Countryside Unitarian Universalist Church was founded in 1956 and offers a tolerant religious community where members are encouraged along their individual spiritual paths. This congregation met in various locations and eventually purchased the old Palatine Library on Brockway Street in 1976. In 1993 the church moved into its current building on Smith Street. They offer a variety of programs for all members, from adult discussion groups to community service groups for teenagers.
Countryside's minister is Hilary Landau Krivchenia.
