The Dance Center of Columbia College Chicago is located in Chicago. The center specializes in a range of professional and academic programs in dancing and choreography. It offers courses in various types of dancing styles, including jazz, ballet and African. Its curriculum includes a variety of topics, such as kinesiology, experiential anatomy, rhythmic analysis, concert production, contemporary trends in dance, and dance history and theory. It provides composition, music and technical theater studies. It also conducts various lectures, seminars, interactive workshops and special events for students. The programs of the center are funded by the National Endowment for the Arts and the Illinois Arts Council.
