Cog Hill Golf and Country Club is the manifestation of the dream of Joe Jemsek. Often referred to as the patriarch of Chicago golf, Jemsek was praised for raising the standard of public golf throughout the country. Nestled in the Des Plaines River Valley, Cog Hill Golf and Country Club has been luring golfers since 1927. The privately-owned golf complex is located at a rural setting in Lemont, Ill., less than 30 miles southwest of Chicago. The public is invited to play on one of four 18-hole regulation golf courses including the world-famous Course no. 4, Dubsdread. The facility includes a driving range/learning center for practice or lessons. The banquet center caters to groups. An award-winning golf shop is also on the premises.
