KC-CASA, also known as the Kankakee County Center Against Sexual Assault, is a nonprofit organization that provides medical and support services to the survivors of sexual assault and abuse. The center also assists the victims in their recovery, as well as works towards the elimination of sexual violence. It also offers public education and professional training in the area of sexual assault, counseling and psychological support to adult and child survivors. In addition, the Kankakee County Center Against Sexual Assault provides assistance throughout criminal justice processes. Founded in 1987, it is a member of the Illinois Coalition Against Sexual Assault. The Kankakee County Center Against Sexual Assault additionally administers a community education program that offers prevention education for children in pre-school through college. The center is located in Kankakee, Ill.
