Michael's Chicago Style Red Hots
If you've never been to Michael's, you've never been to Highland Park. One bite of a char polish sausage, or a double char dog is all you need. A North Shore fixture since 1977, Michael's continues to attract hordes of regulars and first-timers eager to try its Chicago-style red hots. At any given lunch hour or dinner time, well-clad businessmen, ladies in gym outfits and everyone in between are lining up at this "Not Fast Food...Good Food Fast" restaurant. Given its location and upscale following, the price may be justified. Michael's also offers sandwiches, salads and wraps, including the gratifying chicken teriyaki. Adding value to its joint is the yogen fruz counter offering non-fat and low-fat frozen yogurt, which you can enjoy al fresco. Michael's also provides a hall for private functions.
