The Chicago Area Project, also known as CAP, is a private, nonprofit organization that addresses the problems of juvenile delinquency in the communities in Chicago, Ill. The organization serves the residents of Cook County, Ill. It administers various prograsm that include the Community Service Program (CSP), Community Organizing (CO), Juvenile Justice Diversion and African American Male Rites of Passage (ROP). The Chicago Area Project also offers Mentoring, Training & Employment (MTE), Women in Transition (WIT) and Youth as Resources (YAR) programs. The organization focuses on issues, such as direct service, advocacy, community organizing and family development. The Chicago Area Project also provides training services and a range of after-school programs for youths.
