Located near the historic district in southeast Bolingbrook and visible from E. Briarcliff Road, Central Park is the most massive and versatile public park in the city, comprehensively encompassing the Annerino Community Center, LifeStyles Fitness Center & Spa, Werth Tee-Ball Complex, Central Skate Park Plaza, B.J. Ward Elementary School and even the Bolingbrook Park District headquarters. Among the seemingly endless recreational outdoor athletic fields featured include half a dozen baseball fields, three basketball courts, three tennis courts, a full-length soccer field, a large skate park and a full-length football field complete with bleachers and night-lights. The Annerino Community Center and LifeStyles Fitness Center offer additional athletic facilities such as indoor basketball courts, racquetball courts, a climbing wall and a gymnastics center. The Annerino center and Ward Elementary both feature children's playgrounds complete with a jungle gym, swings and slides. Several greenways and arboretums are featured at the front of the park, which can be used for picnics and pick-up recreational athletics, as well as a paved walkway/bike trail that runs through the parks.
