The Catholic Church Extension Society, founded in 1905, develops national awareness and raises funds for several churches. It allocates more than $20 million annually to assist in church construction and repair, missionary salaries, seminarian education, evangelization and outreach programs, the campus ministry and disaster relief operations. Its parish partnership youth program provides educational opportunities for youths to learn about the geography and history of parish missions. The society publishes a monthly magazine, EXTENSION, which helps parishioners to learn more about the challenges and conditions facing catholic missions. In addition, it offers weekly meditation services. The Catholic Church Extension Society is located in Chicago.
