River Road Park is on the west side of the Four Lakes area, directly off Maple Avenue. This area, surrounded by woods, may seem quiet, but it is one of the park district's unique offerings. It comes equipped with not two but six practice soccer nets of different sizes to use in the open field. The playground features slides, swings and a series of obstacle course-like climbing walls in various geometric patterns. Across the gravel road is a community garden where you can plant flowers or vegetables. There is also a bulletin board and plastic lawn chairs for communal use.
