County Jail has more than 25 inmate and detainees that include men and women. The jail houses prisoners for a period of over 360 days. County Jail is a part of the Bureau County Sheriff's Office, which is operated by the government of Bureau County in Illinois. The Bureau County Sheriff's Office works for enhancing the well-being of the general public. The office offers a range of crime prevention and law enforcement services. It administers the Drug Abuse Resistance Education program and maintains a canine team. The Bureau County Sheriff's Office is also responsible for the security and safety of the general public.
