This Pentecostal church serves the Romanian community in Niles and the surrounding areas. It has a spacious sanctuary and adjoining meeting rooms, classrooms and a multi-purpose room for church events and fellowship.
The congregation started in Chicago more than 25 years ago, and built this church in Niles in 2002. The architecture is classical, yet the building has every modern amenity, including two video screens to broadcast services to the congregation. There are also headphones, so those who do not speak Romanian can hear a simultaneous translation (provided by volunteers) of the message.
Sunday school is provided for children from ages 3 to 12, and there's a group for ages 14 to 30. Pastor Luigi Mitoi leads a congregation of about 650 adults, plus their children and families. About 1,000 people attend Sunday services.
