History
As physical therapists, we (Jennifer and Richard Ueberfluss) understood how to alleviate physical pain in our patients and how pain impacted their standard of living. After broadening our practices, we realized that while our contact with patients was confined to individual sessions, it did not paint the entire picture of all the factors that impacted our patients' physical and mental health. We saw the importance of uniting a medical sense with a more holistic care sense in the home. This led us making the ambitious choice to begin our own business. We were attracted to franchising and loved the idea of helping people similar to his medical profession. We wanted to stay true to our embrace of working within a caring profession and wanted to help people using our skills. A friend of ours recommended the in-home care business. It seemed like a perfect fit for our physical therapist backgrounds and that's how we became an Assisting Hands franchisee in the Chicago area.
