Al Raby School, located in Chicago, is a college preparatory high school, offering a wide range of courses to freshmen, sophomores and seniors. The school is named after Albert Raby, a civil rights leader, educator, environmentalist and co-chairman of the Chicago Freedom Movement with Martin Luther King, Jr. It provides education to more than 250 students and employs over 15 teachers. Freshman courses include algebra, environmental science, geographic information systems, health education, reading, survey literature, and world studies. The sophomore courses include American literature, biology, geometry, music, driver s education, and United States history. The school s sports activities include baseball, cheerleading, cross-country, basketball, and volleyball. A variety of clubs and organizations are also offered, such as debate team, photography club, sounds of Al Raby, drama, and student council.
