Founded in 1998, Timberline High School enrolls approximately 1,100 students in grades 10 through 12. The school offers more than 20 advanced placement and accelerated classes and over 50 school-sponsored clubs and activities. Its core curriculum includes English, math, science, history, economics, and health and physical education. Timberline High School also provides classes in psychology, Spanish, statistics and environmental science. The school s library stocks a selection of textbooks, reference materials, encyclopedias, dictionaries, newspapers and magazines. It offers several athletic activities, including football, soccer, cross-country, volleyball, basketball, wrestling, softball and tennis. Timberline High School provides membership options for the National Honor Society and international, key and ski clubs. The school is governed by the Boise School District, which serve more than 25,000 students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12.
