68 years ago parishioners at St Thomas Catholic Church embarked on a mission to serve the poor and homeless in our area by creating a clothes closet. Their desire was to help others, no matter of religion, race, personal background or gender. St Vincent de Paul North Idaho was born. What all began as a clothes closet at St Thomas Catholic Church has grown to include 3 thrift stores, emergency shelters, transitional housing, affordable housing, a HELP Center and a list of services to become the largest homeless serving agency in the region. For 65 years St Vincent de Paul North Idaho's mode of operations has been to focus on collaboration and cooperation with other agencies to provide the best services to end suffering. We believe that by working together we can accomplish so much more.
