Waianae Coast Community Mental Health Center
The community mental health center of Waianae, Hawaii is a private non-profit corporation created by the people of the Waianae Coast in Hawaii to meet the needs of it s residents. Hale Na`au Pono, a Hawaiian name interpreted as 'The House for Inner Balance', provides culturally and socially sensitive, community-based, behavioral health services for children and adults. The center covers a range of mental health needs including substance abuse and therapeutic foster care. Certified substance abuse counselors supervise the Quality Assured Treatment staff. Prevention programs are based on strategies from the National Center for Substance Abuse Prevention (CSAP). Support for both treatment and prevention programs come from the State Department of Health and the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division.
