History
The jewelry stand has been in The Old Poi Factory for almost 20 years. Kathleen Paull has been making jewelry there since 1998. In 2004 she was blessed with the opportunity to take over the jewelry stand location at 819 Front St. in Lahaina, Maui Hawaii. This positive change gave the jewelry a fresh new look while still maintaining the quality and ALOHA experience returning tourists had grown to love. She is the owner, designer, and mastermind behind what the jewelry stand is today.
Specialties
The jewelry stand in the Poi Factory has been creating unique handmade island jewelry from local corals, pearls, stones, crystals, shells, shark's teeth, glass and more for almost 20 years. Hawaii's state gem, black coral, is our best seller year after year. Our fiercely loyal return customers, as well as our new guests, learn about the local black coral, about the last boat in the state of Hawaii still diving for the black coral right out of Lahaina harbor, and about how they harvest the black coral trees, not depleting the state's natural resource in the process. Meeting the artist(s), hearing each of their stories about what brought them to Maui and even having them create something custom right before your eyes is just another part of the jewelry stand experience at Neoma Designs. The jewelry is boxed complete with information about the corals and stones including everything that's in each of the designs, making it the perfect gift or keepsake from your Maui vacation.
